As you probably already know my name is Colin, what's new..... Here is some information about myself that you may or may not already know.

Personal Life

I live in Histon which is about 3 miles from Cambridge. I live there with my wife Julie and Daughter Anya. Julie and I I met at a school disco back in 1991, she is an absolutely top bird and my best mate as well as my wife. After studying at Cambridge University Jules is now a Teacher in Great Wilbraham. We had a very unusual wedding, it was in a medieval style with jugglers, jesters, archers, swordfights... Some of the photos from the day are on-line and also on my bestman Nic's website.

I like to go down to see Cambridge United "play" and have been a season ticket holder for a number of years. I got into watching them play when I was taken down there by my mate Mark back in November 1998. If you fancy coming down to one of the games let me know.

I enjoy cycling, camping and walking. I also enjoy playing golf when I get the time but my game seem to get worse every time I play, one of these days I will take lessons.

Professional Life

I am currently the Web Developer within Schlumberger Research. It covers the web design, development and infrastructure within the Oilfield Services Research arena. I really enjoy working in the web environment, it allows me to be both technical and creative at the same time. I am envied by friends of mine when I tell them I enjoy coming to work everyday. I like to work in a demanding and ever changing role, the pace at which the IT industry evolves means that there is always something new to research and learn, Schlumberger gives me the opportunity to keep up with the industry and not get behind with the times.

I have a BSc Hons degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire.
