Well this started out as my weight watchers blog and has now become my general blog of things I do, have found funny and other random stuff ..... | |
Oh, interesting ....Posted By Col on Monday, March 05, 2007 Just realised, it was almost 1 year to the day of my last blog post, must be something about wanting to document my age ???So .... Is Nigel Right ....Posted By Col on Monday, March 05, 2007 Well a lot of you know Nigel, for those who don't this should remind you. The comment was "I don't get involved enough in Web 2.0"? Is he right? No, I don't think so ...Flickr: So I don't religiously use Flickr, I do however use my own software I developed pre-flickr which still works really well for me, has everything I want and keeps me dabbling in development of some of my own stuff. Twitter: Don't use, to be honest I think this one is strange, why would I want to let people know what I am upto, where and when. The niceness of it is that you can keep short snippets of things you do, more for me than anyone else. I do use the messages in MSN and Skype, they are nice as a lot of my IT aware mates use them. Blogger: I use this (well when I can be bothered), I use it however in more interesting ways. My mums website uses blogger so they can update the content really easily without requiring a web professional and a copy of dreamweaver. Now before Web 2.0 existed (the marketing term) all my users have been blogging and editing content easily online (that what a blog is) via system I developed/helped develop. The others: Well I have used Pandora, listened with Last.fm, have a Google Calendar, watched You Tube, done Dropsend, thought about writing a funny book in Lulu, got my Moo cards ... I follow it closely, play where I like it, examine what I think is interesting, look for ways to adopt it in my workplace and note it where I think it has no importance (often those come back and bite you). I think the really great apps are the ones that do one thing really well, have a great API so you can use the content anywhere (that's where you get real value, Flickr is a fantastic example). If OpenID gets off the ground then I won't have hundreds of these accounts kicking around spamming me. Birthday BlogPosted By Col on Monday, March 06, 2006 Spring is almost here so out comes the intention of doing my blog again, really don't know why I keep restarting it as I won't keep it up. Well today is my 31st birthday, Happy Birthday to me ... Glastonbury 2005 - Let the rain come ....Posted By Col on Thursday, June 30, 2005 Resuming my blog ....Posted By Col on Thursday, June 30, 2005 Well I decided it was time to start my blog again, the reason why is coz I have found some funny stuff recently and wanted to post it where other people can check it out. This seemed the best place. There will be funny stuff coming soon, such as this: DOWNLOAD, PRINT-OUT AND MAKE THE HASSELHOFF PAPER AIRPLANE TODAY Cool hey!!!! Posted By Col on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 Well the new year weight is going, last week I lost 5lbs and Julie lost 5.5lbs, that's half the weight for the month of December lost. Finding it hard for some reason, we have been eating cheese and chocolate this week, not 100% sure what that is going to add up to but won't be good.Keep meaning to go to the Gym but since the really dark cold nights it has been less attractive, must try again this week ....
